Vivian J. Mondeau, 88, a resident of The Horizon Senior Living in West Branch, passed away March 5, 2017.
Vivian was born Oct. 26, 1928, in St. Clair Shores, the daughter of Frank and Mildred Kennedy. Vivian enjoyed a full, active life with her friends and family. She loved playing bingo and crafting. Vivian was a member of the Red Hat Society in Arizona, and was active in the Lions Club, receiving many awards over her years of service including the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Della (Kristin) Mondeau-Dwyer and Ginny (Rick) Vagts; son, Monty (Deanna) Mondeau; sister, Beryl Roder of Arizona; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews; special friend and caregiver, Stephany Scholtz of The Horizon Senior Living; her beloved cat, Holly; and many other friends who loved her.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Orval “Monty” Mondeau; parents, Frank and Mildred Kennedy; brothers, Kenneth and Donald Kennedy; and sister, Virginia Hoffmeyer.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and graveside committal prayers and interment will take place Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia. An online guest registry is available to express condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
