Rosamond A. "Roie" Barnhart

Rosamond Audrey “Roie” Barnhart, 89, of West Branch, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at The Horizon Senior Living.

She was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Flint. Roie married Philip Russell Barnhart on Sept. 25, 1948, at Calvary Methodist Church in Flint, where they raised their five children until 1965, when they moved to Midland. She was a faithful, devoted and loving wife, mother and Christ-follower, and delighted in her 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Rosamond spent her last eight years in West Branch, where her love and prayers touched the lives of those around her.

Roie is survived by her children, Dr. Jim (Terry) Barnhart of West Branch, Janet (Jock) Tulk of Cheboygan, Terry (Scott) Plaxton of Pickerington, Ohio, Paul (Katrinka) Barnhart of Walkertown, N.C., and Sherry Barnhart of Lansing. Also surviving are her brother, Ralph Holbrook of Grand Blanc; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil; daughter, Laura; sister, Ruth Miehm; and grandson, Robert Tulk.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Ogemaw Hills Church in West Branch.

Memorial contributions can be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Midland or Ogemaw Hills Church in West Branch.
