Patricia Ann “Patty” Denstedt, 71, of Hale passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Patty was born July 19, 1945, in Norwood, Ontario, Canada, to the late Donald Bedore and Doris Beckett Bedore. Patty came to Michigan in 1963 at the age of 18. She worked in the service industry in the Detroit area until 1971 when she relocated to Hale. Patty married Wayne Joseph Denstedt on March 10, 1989, in Hale. She then worked with her husband as office manager of Denstedt Well Drilling for 22 years until her retirement.

Patty loved her family and friends. She was kind and giving and easily made friends everywhere she went. Her friendly and outgoing personality would light up any room she walked into. She loved to cook and especially to bake. Patty enjoyed sports and played softball locally for 20 years on teams for both the Hard Hat Bar and Denstedt Well Drilling, making many lifelong friends along the way. Being from Canada she had an ingrained love for hockey, especially her beloved Detroit Red Wings. After retirement, Patty enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband.

Patty is survived by her husband, Wayne; her daughter, Stacy (Dave) Sehl of Cooper, Texas; stepchildren, Patrick Denstedt of Hale and Erin Denstedt of Howell; granddaughter, Shelby Vallance of Bell City, Mo.; brothers, Ron (Teresa) Bedore of 100 Mile House, British Columbia, and Barry Bedore of Lac La Hache, British Columbia; brother-in-law, Murry Monroe of Havlock, Ontario; and nieces and nephews, Krista Bedore, Kerri Monroe, Kirt Bedore, Troy Bedore and Jamie Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert Vallance and Scott Vallance; grandson, Sean Vallance; and siblings, Joyce Monroe and William Beckett.

Per her wishes, her cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at her home, 3590 Mill Station Rd. in Hale, on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 1-5 p.m. Condolences to the family may be made at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
