Patricia Ann Davis, 81, of Gladwin, formerly of Prescott, passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 10, 2018, with her family by her side at Gladwin Pines Nursing Home in Gladwin.

Patricia was born July 15, 1937, in Detroit to the late Herbert L. and Dorothy (Tingdahl) Sproule. She married Paul L. Davis and together they raised two children, Kathleen and Michael. Patricia was a member of Judson Baptist Church for many years. She taught piano and voice lessons and was a choir director for many churches over the years. Patricia was a composer as well as a soloist and pianist. She went to nursing school and was a medical assistant working in the medical field for more than 30 years. Patricia was a founding member of the Resident Committee at Gladwin Pines. She was the “life of the party” according to her children. Patricia played Florence “Nut”ingale in her Christian Clown troupe and adored working with children. She volunteered for Hospice of Helping Hands and the Michigan Association for Children with Learning Disabilities.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Davis-Cunningham of Gladwin; son, Michael (Nicole) Davis of Luther; and grandchildren, Cole Cunningham, Jade Cunningham, Karson Roman and Paul Allen Davis (due in December).

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Davis; and her brother, Herbert Sproule.

According to Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Judson Baptist Church, 201 E. Harrison St., Prescott, MI 48756. Pastor Doug Kennedy will officiate. Patricia’s family will greet friends and neighbors at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Committal prayers will take place at Mills Township Cemetery in Prescott later that afternoon.
