No injuries reported in single-vehicle accident

WEST BRANCH — No one was injured in a single-vehicle accident that blocked one lane of I-75 for a short time July 6.

Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Deputy Branden Kirby said a 31-year-old male and 26-year-old female were traveling southbound on I-75 around mile marker 216 when the vehicle they were in hydroplaned, lost control and collided with a guard rail.

Excessive speed given the road conditions was a contributing factor in the accident, Kirby said.

The collision left the vehicle badly damaged and blocking the left lane of the expressway. D & N Collision of Alger cleared the scene.
