John H. Jammer, 70, of Alger passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at his home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1946, in Bay City to Herman and Lucille (Zielke) Jammer. He resided in the Skidway Lake area for 37 years. He was a retired autoworker with General Motors. John loved to hunt, tend his garden and play cards, especially euchre. He attended the Lutheran church.

John is survived by his children, daughter, Kimberly (Rick) Farrand of Whittemore; son, John (Gail) Jammer of Kinuso, Alberta, Canada; son, James (Chris) Jammer of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada; son, Joseph (Beate) Jammer of Germany; stepchildren, Bill Holder, Kelly Malama and Michelle (Norman) Butler, all of Fruitport, Sharon (Tim) Cogswell of North Carolina and Kimberly (Alan) Ragels of Prescott; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, William (Jackie) Jammer of Houghton Lake; sisters, Joyce (Roy) Krieger of Auburn, Alice (Tom) Kozuch of Auburn and Carol (Ray) Davis of Standish; and special friend, Shirley Cromwell of Prescott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; and brothers, Benjamin and Ralph.
