Head-on collision takes the life of Saginaw man


CLEMENT TWP. — Trevor Lee DuLude, 30, of Saginaw lost his life in a head-on collision that occurred late Nov. 14.

According to the Michigan State Police crash report, DuLude was travelling northbound on M-30 when his 2007 Pontiac Torrent crossed the centerline and struck a semi-truck traveling southbound.

The accident occurred at the curve, just south of the county line near Sergent Road.

The report states that the collision also caused severe damage to the semi.

Following the first impact, DuLude’s vehicle caught fire, continued traveling north and left the roadway. The impact caused DuLude to be ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the semi was transported to West Branch Regional Medical Center by Ogemaw County EMS for non life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be contributing factors.
