Eunice "JoAnn" Kauthen

Eunice “JoAnn” Kauthen, 76, of Hale passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018.

She was born April 5, 1942, in Detroit to the late Hector Peterson and LaVerle Watchorn. JoAnn was a member of the Hale Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and trips to the casino. Most of all JoAnn loved spending time with her family.

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Kauthen; her children, Kim (Randy) Green of Durand, Lisa McKarnen of Flint and Cheryl (David) Adams of Fenton; her sisters, Jean Watson of Wisconsin and Cheryl Paulson of Daggett; her grandchildren, Brandy Davis, Shawn Green, Tara Arms, Travis McKarnen, Ashley Hart, Amber Sweet, Dustin Adams and Caitlyn Niewiadomski; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Sweet.

Per the family’s wishes, the cremation has taken place and a private committal service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be left to the family online at
