Elyot Andrew Dings, 14, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, in West Branch.

He was born Sept. 10, 2004, in West Branch to Jasynn and Jenny (Smith) Dings. Elyot was a freshman at Ogemaw Heights High School. He was an apprentice machine operator with Dings Excavating where he worked closely with his dad and family. Elyot was a District 14 Dirt Bike Champion and he played West Branch Little League and Junior League All Star Baseball. He was also involved with AYSO Soccer and FFA. Elyot was a great brother, son, friend and boyfriend to Kora. He had the ability to unite and bring people together, was a loyal friend, always wore a genuine smile and had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed.

Elyot is survived by his parents, Jasynn and Jenny Dings of West Branch; brothers, Alexander Dings and Isaac Dings, both of West Branch; sister, Oryana Dings of West Branch; dog, Jessy; grandma, Eileen (Gary) Dahn of West Branch; grandpa, Jerry Dings of West Branch; grandma, Bobbie Percival of West Branch; grandpa, Jerry (Debbie) Smith of Standish; special aunt, Kristin; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, great-aunts and -uncles and friends.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, from 3-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Faith Alive Church at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Pastor Chad Deerman will officiate.
