Dorothy M. Thompson, 95, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the Villa at West Branch with her family by her side.

She was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Prescott to Benjamin and Emma (Drow) Harmon. She lived in West Branch since 1946, formerly of Prescott. Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for kindergarten. She enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, being outdoors, camping, yard work and cooking.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Daryl (Chris) Thompson of Morley, Dean (Judy) Thompson of Gladwin and Dana (Sue) Thompson of West Branch; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Joyce) Harmon of Holland; brother-in-law, Robert (Kris) Thompson of Whittemore; sister-in-law, Marion Harmon; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; daughter, Darlene Dawn; sisters, Helen, Esther and Ruth; and brother, George.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Tuesday, March 19, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in West Branch on Wednesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Pastor Tim Dibble will officiate. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery in Prescott.
