Carol Ann Kapp, 82, beloved wife of Franklin Kapp of 57 years, longtime resident of West Branch, passed away peacefully Oct. 2, 2017.

She is survived by her husband, Franklin; daughter, Heather (Todd); granddaughter, Sara; and grandson, Alex.

She was the dear sister of the late Bill Maier.

She was a home economics teacher for many years and was an active member in the community, being involved in the First United Methodist Church of West Branch, Optimist Club and the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. In her years after retirement, she enjoyed quilting with her quilting group and traveling to Arizona with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Branch Optimist Club, 4668 Boutell Ranch Rd., West Branch, MI 48661. Memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held Oct. 21, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of West Branch, located at 2490 W. State Rd. in West Branch.
