LUPTON - A small but loyal crowd gathered at Rifle River Recreation Area in Lupton for its annual Winterfest Feb. 25.

With temperatures the week prior in the mid-60s, the lack of snow didn't damper the spirits of the regular attendees who came out for a hay ride, hot dogs and cocoa, and friendly conversation.
